Classes
"Exploring Yourself as an Interpreter of Song and Text"
with Jack, Judy & Dale
Students will revisit their approach to artistic material.  Judy will explore the diversity of vocal and musical style and Jack will explore the personalization of text.
The Viewpoints with Ellen
The Viewpoints is a technique of improvisation that grew out of the post-modern dance world.  It was first articulated by choreographer Mary Overlie who broke down the two dominant issues performers deal with - time and space - into six categories.  The Viewpoints allows a group of actors to function together spontaneously and intuitively and to generate a bold, theatrical work quickly.  It develops flexibility, articulation, and strength in movement and facilitates ensemble playing.

Discourses
"The Cast System" with Mark Simon
An inside look at today's theatrical casting process.

"For Love of Acting:  The Art of Living" with Martin Moran
We have embarked on a path that asks us to be fully human. Transparent.  Fundamentally our impulse to be storytellers is fueled by the desire to shorten the distance between ourselves. It is fueled by Love. Countless events in the pursuit of a life in the theater can conspire to close us down with fear or disappointment. The ways in which we stay attuned to what keeps our living artful and our hearts open, are key to our continued work.  Through discussion and writing, we’ll take time to ponder how we each stay attuned.
"Olympic Swingers:  The Art of Covering Multiple Roles"
with Jessica Wright
