Classes
Acting for Film & TV with Seth
A comprehensive overview and on-camera workshop for the stage-trained actor.  This workshop will cover film-making processes, monologues and scene study, tips for making your performance more spontaneous and real, slating tricks and cold reading/audition techniques.
Improvisational Approach to Text & Character with Kathy
Using classic improvisational techniques, this workshop will explore and play with character and action.
Metamorphosis of Vocal Style with Judy & Laura
This workshop will explore the elements that inform vocal and stylistic versatility for today's musical theatre singers.
The Viewpoints with Ellen
The Viewpoints is a technique of improvisation that grew out of the post-modern dance world.  It was first articulated by choreographer Mary Overlie who broke down the two dominant issues performers deal with - time and space - into six categories.  The Viewpoints allows a group of actors to function together spontaneously and intuitively and to generate a bold, theatrical work quickly.  It develops flexibility, articulation, and strength in movement and facilitates ensemble playing.
"Vocal Ease":  Strength, Flexibility and the Speaking Voice with Sally
This workshop is designed to strengthen, stretch and increase flexibility in the speaking voice.  Students will engage in a variety of vocal exercises, and explore sustained, elevated and emotionally heightened text and cold readings.
